Hi (can I call you) Pete, right at this moment I've been surfing the internet for 10 hours... search for help here and there for my family. I'm Adela, from Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. A wife of wonderfull husband, a mother of 3 & 5 y.o. son.
Me & family desperately need financial help right now. Is there anywhere I can ask for a grant/donation? Can you help me with this? Just an information or more..
I love my children, that's why I'm a work at home mom, giving my best & my all for my child. Our urgently need is for our kids, they're about to enter schools with no funds (we got no money in our account and has big ammout of debt). My husband called to be a minister back in 1987, have specific vission & mission to start a non-profit organization here in Surabaya. He is a great, intelligent, smart & honest person. But unfortunately there is no fund to do that all. We tried to search for local donator/investor but none interested in it. I believe it's because me (and my family) is in need ourself. We're in such a financial difficulities right now. Maybe people think how we can help others if we need to be helped! We're considering to close our bussinesses but we'll be fireing all 15 of our emlployee :( (The profit is not much, but we can't just let go the 15 persons, they need a job) That's why we're looking donation for individual in the net.

Dear Adel, Thanks for your comment on my 'blog'. First up I should say that people like me tend to support causes they have some personal connection with and I usually do the approaching to offer my support. As a matter of principle (like most people) I do not give money to "cold callers". I have no idea who you are or what you represent - Sorry! As a piece of general advice I would suggest that you approach groups who have some knowledge of your track record and have aims sympathetic to your own. It is quite a worry that you cannot locate a local backer though. Pete.
